Planting & Care
Choose a sunny, well-drained spot.
Dig a hole about 6" deep and wide enough to spread the roots without bending.
Position the root so the crown (eyes) sits just at or slightly below the soil surface — planting too deeply may prevent flowering.
Space plants 3–4 ft. apart for ample growth.
Water in well. In colder climates, mulch lightly for winter protection, then remove mulch in spring for proper airflow.
Once established, peonies will thrive for decades with very little care.
